I encourage those who are going through a separation and divorce to consider using the Collaborative Process to resolve the issues that come with the changing family dynamics. What I love most about the Collaborative Process is that it takes the focus away from court battles and winning at all costs and places the focus where it should be – on helping families to come to a resolution that suits their particular needs and interests and doing so in a manner that strives to preserve family relationships.
I attended the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie in Halifax, Nova Scotia and completed my articles with a national firm in Calgary, Alberta. I moved to Ottawa in 2009 and have been practising family law primarily ever since.
