I have been practising family law in Ottawa for over 17 years. My practice is restricted to family law.
I have been heavily involved in Collaborative Family Law (C.F.L). since its inception in Ottawa. I was a founding member of the Ottawa Collaborative Family Law group. I was a member of the board of directors for a two year term. I am involved because I strongly believe in this process – it is an excellent option for clients.
While C.F.L. is an excellent option, there are other options available. What we need to do is to determine what process is best suited to your situation. Have a look at my website for a discussion of process issues and substantive issues.
My office is in the west-end of Ottawa. I am a sole practitioner. I have three assistants. My spouse, Rachel Clayton is my legal assistant and office manager. She has over 25 years of experience and is an excellent resource. Diane McCoy and Kristina Chapman are my administrative assistants. This is one of the real benefits of my office – there are four people to assist.
I am a lawyer who is focussed on resolving your issues in a timely and efficient manner. I speak English, not “legalese”. After we speak you will understand your options.
I offer a one-half hour free phone consultation so give me a call or send me an email and we can determine if we are a good fit to work together.
